streets of hugeness

it takes my brother, who lives in another state, to point out and thus get me to notice just how wide some of the back streets are in my burb, i wonder why they are this wide.

Sadly they pulled this gate down a few weeks ago, all in the name of progress.

The building on the corner of Beaufort and Walcott streets has always grabbed my attention. The way it curves the edge of the intersection adds a real feeling of "extra" space that you don't get at your run of the mill corner. I stood there for ages trying to frame the shot and then as I took it I somehow failed to notice the bus pull up and ruin the shot. May have to try this one again.
